Wife Surprises Husband With A 2017 McLaren 650S - The Drive
It is no secret larger Youtube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook celebrities get endorsements, free gear, and even cold cash for posts. All that being said, The LaVigne Family still has (or had) a McLaren 650S in their possession and thats a beautiful thing. We could be wrong about The LaVigne Family and their McLaren 650S, but we think you should check out the videos and come up with your own conclusion. Did they have the car for a short term loan like many celebrities do through "lifestyle loans," or did they just work out a deal with the McLaren dealership. To be fair, automotive manufacturers already fill your Instagram feeds with sponsored ads (to which I still "like"), but it seems a bit strange when manufacturers give cars or loan cars to celebrities. First off, the amount of times they post mundane activities that involve the Mclaren 650S makes it look like they are contractually obligated to do so. Then after a certain number of posts, the car disappears from video hero images as well as... Recently The LaVigne Family , a popular Youtube channel, for reasons beyond my understanding, posted several videos of Dee (wife) getting Jerry (husband) a bright yellow McLaren 650S. There is no doubt in my mind this family is independently... Source: www.thedrive.com
Indy 500: How fast do the cars go? How long does the race last? All you need to know - Express.co.uk
However, the average speed during the race is significantly lower. How fast do Indy 500 cars go. Qualifying, which is held the week before the race, sees cars set an average speed over four laps of the track. The 2016 winner Alexander Rossi recorded an average speed of 166. 634 mph with pit-stops (around eight per driver) and yellow warning flags accounting for the majority of the slower speeds. The Spaniard has abandoned his McLaren-Honda F1 team for Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix after five dire races so far in 2017, with just two finishes and no top 10s. Instead, he has travelled to Indianapolis to race a McLaren-entered, Honda-powered... Source: www.express.co.uk
Parente, Barnicoat, McLaren, K-PAX Racing Combination Expected to be Favorites in Lime Rock - Motorsport.com, Edition: Global
“It’s a very interesting track,” said Parente. “I don’t think we’ll change much (setup in the car),” Parente admitted. But when he left the Lime Rock Park facility, it seemed as if he owned it. The. “Lime Rock is a small track that doesn’t have any straight lines. “We had a package that worked really well last year, and we’re certainly going to try it this week. “Every year can change, but we’re motivated and confident that we can go in there and have a good weekend. Parent immediately found a comfort zone with his 650S, the Pirelli tires and his K-PAX Racing team. Patrick [Long] was very close all race long right until the end. It was quite a good combination for our car and we were very strong there last year. But Parente’s mentally prepared for another strong Lime Rock showing. A factory driver with a top-notch team and a lightning quick sports car is the perfect match for Lime Rock. After two wins already in 2017, Parente is hoping that he and Barnicoat can put the K-PAX Racing 650S back in victory lane this weekend. We’re hoping we have a good pace on the setup, and we’re hoping that it will work for us again this year. “The championship is so long that I really was not thinking about it at the time after Lime Rock,” Parente said. Parente returns this weekend (May 26-27) for a GT doubleheader with the new SprintX format which includes 60-minute races with two drivers driving one entry with a pit stop in the middle of the action. “I was just thinking race-by-race, trying to give it all I had – like we’re doing this year. We’re very much looking forward to having a great weekend at Lime Rock and my fingers are crossed that we’ll score some good points here. Parente and Barnicoat had a tough SprintX race last weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park,, having dropped out at the mid-point of the 60-minute due to contact from another car. “Last year’s performance at Lime Rock is what motivates us for this year, to be able to do it again,” he said. “Lime Rock was really good for us last year,” said Parente, a five-time winner in his initial PWC season. The 32-year-old Portugal driver hadn’t seen the popular 1. 5-mile Connecticut road circuit before the week of last year’s Memorial Weekend racing spectacular. – Reigning Pirelli World Challenge GT champion Alvaro Parente has fond memories of the tight, fast Lime Rock Park track, site of this weekend’s next PWC SprintX doubleheader. Parente, Barnicoat and over 100 other drivers and their sports cars will participate this weekend at Lime Rock Park in one of the Northeast’s most popular racing extravaganzas beginning this Friday (May 26) when practice rounds open. SprintX format In 2017, the Pirelli World Challenge split the GT division into two formats with 50-minute GT single-driver races and 60-minute, two-driver contests. Parente, a 2017 two-time race winner at St. Petersburg and Long Beach, will team with young Ben Barnicoat of England at Lime Rock Park as the pair take on a stellar SprintX field in the Friday and Saturday races. Lime Rock domination Parente’s 2016 Lime Rock Park domination was his only “double victory” weekend as the popular 650S proved to be just the right combination for that historic racing plant.
